Martyn Saville is Remitly’s Global Consumer Protection Manager, bringing more than 20 years of experience across financial regulation, consumer advocacy, and policy development. Before Remitly, Martyn spent over 12 years at the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, where he led the rollout of the landmark Consumer Duty. For those unfamiliar, this set much higher standards of consumer protection in UK financial services, helping millions of people. Before the FCA, Martyn spent seven years at Which?, the UK’s largest consumer body, shaping national policy on credit, insurance, and debt and authoring the widely cited “Credit Britain” reports. Martyn holds an MSc in Financial Regulation, a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning from the Chartered Insurance Institute and a PhD in German and Austrian politics.
