How do I enter?
Easy. Enter your name and email on the form on this page (phone is optional), check the eligibility box, and you’re in. Entries open 12:00 p.m. PT on November 4, 2026 and close 11:59 p.m. PT on December 15, 2026. One entry per person, so no need to enter twice.¹ No purchase necessary. Do I have to use the prize for travel?
Nope. Remitly isn’t a travel agency, and we don’t book travel. We’d love for you to fly first class to see your people, but it’s your money. No proof of travel needed. Spend it on the airline of your choice, or on something else entirely.¹
Why $21,430? That’s oddly specific.
We promise it’s not random. Here’s our math, based on highly technical research (a search for average travel costs): about $10,000 for two premium-class airline tickets, $5,000 for all the travel extras, and the rest as a rough estimate to help with taxes. Not a perfect science, but close enough. It’s still one prize, and you can spend it however you choose. Winners are responsible for their own taxes.¹
Do I need a Remitly Global Card to enter?
No (even though we think it’s pretty cool). Getting the card is optional and doesn’t affect your eligibility or chances of winning. If you win and don’t have one, you can get your prize by check.

Do I pay taxes on the prize?
Unfortunately, yes. Even prizes get taxed. Winners are responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC.¹ A portion of the prize funds is intended for your tax payment.
