Does my recipient need to download the Remitly app?

No. Your recipient doesn't need to download anything. They can receive money directly to their bank account, mobile wallet, cash pickup, mobile money, home delivery, or debit card deposit, depending on where the recipient is located.

How do I verify my identity in the app?

You'll be asked to verify your identity with a government-issued ID—such as a passport or driver's license. It's a one-time step required by financial regulations, and the app guides you through it.

How do I change or cancel a transfer in the app?

If your transfer hasn't been processed yet, you can edit it or cancel it directly in the app under your transfer history. If it's already in progress, contact our support team and they will assist you.
