The treasury team is a core part of Remitly’s business, as it is tied to both revenue generation and risk mitigation.  The mission of the team is to empower Remitly to provide exceptional service and value to our customers by putting money in the right place at the right time with uncompromising financial efficiency.  The five core tenets of the team include: deliver on customer promises, mitigate risks, maximize FX revenue, optimize the use of working capital, and achieve operational excellence with scale. The treasury team works very closely with several other functions, including the pricing team who is tasked with setting the price (FX rate and fees charged) for each product, the business development team who negotiates the relationships with international banks and disbursement partners, compliance, and accounting. This position is based in Remitly’s headquarters in Seattle, WA.

The Treasury Analyst depending on experience will possess the skills and experience needed to significantly contribute to our ongoing efforts to build and deploy a secure, scalable and robust global treasury operations platform. This position plays a critical role in meeting our customer promise while safeguarding customer and corporate assets. It is essential that the candidate be organized, detail-oriented and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage daily global funding activity including timely execution of funding analysis, foreign exchange trading, and resolution of funding issues
  • Contribute to enhanced foreign currency revenue optimization and risk management efforts
  • Oversee deployment, implementation and execution of funding and trading models on a global basis
  • Partner with the engineering and data teams in support of the development and rollout of a robust global treasury platform
  • Analysis and reporting of treasury activity and performance
  • Incorporate global business expansions into daily funding processes
  • Create processes and procedures to hand off key treasury data across multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong applicable industry experience: We’re looking for a candidate with meaningful treasury and cash management experience within a multinational corporation. The ideal candidate will have worked within a "best in class" organization, allowing him/her to assist in identifying and implementing enhanced treasury processes and solutions
  • A team approach to solving problems: Building a global treasury platform will require collaboration across the organization
  • An entrepreneurial conviction: We’re looking for someone who is able to drive change and innovation while delivering on core departmental responsibilities
  • Strong Excel skills required (VBA and SQL experience highly desirable)
  • Prior experience in foreign exchange trading and risk management
  • Prior experience in international cash management and payments
  • Prior experience in cash forecasting
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA, Economics, Statistics, Finance, etc.)
  • CFA and CTP desirable
