As a Business Analytics Manager within the International business that covers Europe and APAC regions, you will be leading marketing analytics, business performance analysis & reporting and budget planning & forecasting for the International business. In a lean organization you will work cross functionally, partnering closely with other members of Business Management, Finance, Analytics and Marketing teams based in Europe and Seattle to guide our business decisions and directly contribute to our business’s growth. You’ll set up reporting and dashboards to regularly monitor business performance across corridors and marketing channels and produce insightful analyses that’ll guide smarter marketing investments to grow our business. You’ll be leading setting up and analysing various marketing tests and delivering clear and concise recommendations. You’ll lead the annual budget planning and quarterly reforecasting exercise for the International business, partnering closely with the Global FP&A team. You’ll promote a self-serve data culture for the International team members by setting up and maintaining reports and dashboards using various technical tools. You’ll leverage your intellectual curiosity to understand our business performance and form hypotheses for analysis and testing.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Deep dive into business performance trends, generating insights that can lead to customer growth or other business opportunities
  • Marketing Channel analysis and attribution to enable an ongoing assessment of the state of the business
  • Identify trends and provide suggestions for improving ROI and optimising the marketing mix: utilise customer data to better understand customer behaviour in order to drive both customer engagement and customer acquisition
  • Lead the annual budget planning and quarterly reforecasting exercise for the International business, partnering closely with the Global FP&A team
  • Develop models to forecast key business metrics from different strategies we will execute
  • Support business management team with delivering weekly, monthly and quarterly business performance review reports. Generate ad-hoc reports for top management based on specific issues/concerns
  • External benchmarking and scenario analysis to guide sound business decisions
  • Data deep-dives to understand root causes of performance variances and to surface previously known gaps and opportunities
  • Create, maintain, and communicate sustainable reports that help the organisation act on information rather than just data.
  • Work alongside other Marketing/Product Analysts to create and evolve tools and reports that enable and accelerate consistency and scale
  • Design and analyse quantitative tests to validate customer or business hypothesis, and provide comprehensive test write-ups, including thoughtful and well-written recommendations.
  • White-space problem solving to identify opportunities including customer segmentation, marketing performance, or other ad-hoc needs


Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field). Master’s is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in a business analytics/data analyst/BI analyst role.
  • Experience presenting data findings in a clear and concise manner to senior business stakeholders and non-analytical team members
  • Data-mining abilities with ability to evaluate results and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Familiarity building dashboards (we use Tableau and Periscope), expert experience with SQL and comfortable using Python and/or R (experience with one or the other required) for analysis.
  • Preferable experience working at startups and/or large consumer internet/technology companies

  • Entrepreneurial, meaning being willing to do many different things and to move fast. You would need to have a high degree of ownership and good judgment
  • Track record of working in a collaborative and fast paced environment where timelines can be challenging and where you will be expected to manage multiple priorities
