Together we're Stronger
What are we doing?
The world would be a poorer place without migrants. Migrants make huge economic and cultural contributions to the countries they move to. Their role in successful, modern-day societies is often overlooked or misunderstood.
As a company serving migrants, we believe Remitly can, and should, do everything in its power to make people aware of the positive differences migrants make globally.
Together we’re Stronger will shine the spotlight on ways migrants have enriched societies across the world of sport, music, business, and much more.
Why is change needed?
The number one issue faced by migrants today is not being accepted or feeling at home in their host nation. This is despite the fact that 85% of migrant wages are spent locally. Yet, many people see migrant wages as draining money from their economy.
When it comes to representation, a 2015 study showed that only 15% of media stories about immigration feature a migrant voice.
What impact do we want to have?
Our football story shows how the tournament line-up would look very different without the contribution of footballers who are either migrants, or the sons or grandsons of migrants, scoring for their nation.
Campaign partners
We believe the world is a stronger place by working with and supporting organisations that actively support migrant communities, as well as organisations that celebrate and educate people on how migration shapes all of our lives. That is why we’re excited to be partnering with the Migration Museum in London to raise awareness on this critical issue.
We're always open to speaking to more partners so our campaign can reach more people so please get in touch.

What impact do we want to have?
- Re-evaluate - Invite people to re-evaluate their perception of migrants and recognise the positive contribution migrants make to societies.
- Conversations - Spark a nationwide conversation about what a world might look like without migration and the contributions migrants make.
- A voice – Support and empower migrants from a wide range of backgrounds to tell their stories.
