As the Facilities Manager, plans, organizes, delivers and supports all facilities, admin, security and business continuity services to Remitly and ensures the efficient and effective provision of these services. The Facilities Manager has accountability for the Remitly premises and site needs in the Philippines inclusive of security of premises, maintenance, business continuity practices and enhancement of all properties to the agreed organizational standards.

 

Job Qualifications;

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent field experience required 
  • BS Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is an advantage but not required  
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google Suite required 
  • Excellent English language skills, verbal and written, required  
  • Minimum three years Program Management experience is preferred  
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated project management experience required  
  • Minimum two years people management experience required 
  • Five years combined facilities or related expierence required 
  • Must be willing to work different shifts as required, which could include weekend, holidays and nights
 
Job Description;
  • Manages facilities operating budget, oversees property management services, vendor service contracts, RFP process, oversees landlord, operational support engagement on a regular basis for seamless operations, and project work.
  • Assists in developing organizational strategies and directly manage and drive all facility related OKR's (Objectives and Key Results), projects, roadmaps, facilities improvements and expansion, and business continuity.
  • Owns and manages assets inventory process, budgeting, placement and storage, replacement planning, cost reduction and maintenance.
  • Manages and continues the local site's procurement.
  • Manages and continuously improves administrative activities involving purchase of equipments, maintenance of procurement, housekeeping and safety.
  • Manages site security ensuring the right processes and communication are in place that promotes environmental health and safety.
  • Manages and optimizes physical space proactively by coordinating with I.T., Workforce, and Operations on requirements and changes for optimal space management.
  • Continuously assess immediate, mid-term and long-term seat capacity requirements to ensure adequate seat capacity and related facilities functions for the business to efficiently and effectively operate.
  • Serves as the primary owner, creator, contact and coordinator of the site’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and emergency response programs.
  • Develops, executes and continuously improves BCP communications and coordination with the global network for situations adversely affecting operations including, but not limited to: utility outages, facility emergencies, facilites security breeches and business continuity events. These may occur at any time including at night, on weekends and holidays.
  • Must effectively leverage, manage, keep updated and execute on all related emergency handling and communication tools (e.g. AlertMedia, SMS Blast, ticketing system, internal company messaging systems, etc.).
  • Manages refurbishment, renovations and office moves -- and plans for future development in line with strategic business objectives.
  • Protects and maintains the confidentiality of vendor and employee information handled, received or visible during the course of work.
  • Creates, updates and reviews all facilities policies and procedures.
  • Directs, mentors, coaches, develops and manages the performance of the local facilities team.
  • Oversees and ensures the proper execution and continuous improvement of programs, processes, policies, procedures, vendors, costs and other components for ensuring problem free, reliability and a high quality experience for Remitly visitors from other sites.
  • Owns site quality and preservation, promoting and instilling stewardship mindset throughout the site with all levels of employees. Creates, scocializes, executes, measures and continuously improves related programs and initiatives leveraging all available resources.
  • Performs day to day facilities administrative tasks as required.
